1.) What was your process for creating your vtuber model? What was your inspiration?
I had an idea and wanted to lean into my username, which has been Kiwi the Pirate since my Xbox 360 days when I was in my early twenties. As well as lean into my age as I’m older than a lot of people in this space. So I settled on an Eldritch sea monster/god idea because they’re ancient. I drew a concept and sent it to my model mama Harupon and she brought it to life.
2.) How much of “you” went into your vtuber model? How did you decide what personality parts to add (if you did)?
Oh 100% me in in my model. I am who I am in stream and off stream. Every aspect of my model represents me in some fashion. I am a chaotic gremlin all the way through. I’m a water sign (Scorpio), I’m adventurous like a pirate, the many eyes represent how I am open to many different points of views to learn from.
3.) How much more difficult is it to create content in the vtuber space? What are some of the obstacles you yourself have run into and how have you worked on getting past them?
I used to be a face cam streamer when I started streaming and I found that was actually more difficult than creating content as a vtuber. However some of the obstacles I have face personally have been not having resources for video and clip editors, learning to edit my own clips, managing my socials like YouTube and TikTok. It’s still alludes me some but I just keep trying to asking others who have success on those platforms always helps.
4.) What advice would you give others who are considering creating a model/vtuber account?
My biggest advice would be start off small. Look for free resources before jumping into buying a full out model. They’re expensive and vtubing isn’t for everyone which is okay. Also never put pressure on yourselves due to viewer count. Views are always fickle and change during certain seasons. Make content YOU enjoy and it’ll find the right people.
5.) Final question – If you could change the ending to one game or movie, which game/movie and how would you change it?
Oh this is a good one. I’m not sure if I really would change the ending to anything that I’ve watched/played. I’ve never been disappointed in an ending of something that I was invested in.
